Explanation:

This build is all about kiting. You can prestack your passive on mobs to get a easy root with your auto attack, this can sometimes cancel dash abilities, especially ones with long animations such as the Double Bladed Staff E. Rooting with your auto attacks sets up for more easy Es. If the Enemy has something that can avoid your E, such as Mistwalker Jacket, it is often better to stun with your W to ensure your E hits. If your E hits, you can set up for a guaranteed Q or Purity Cowl. Use Assassin Jacket mainly to time out the enemy’s boots or to create distance for kiting if they manage to reach you while your other disengage skills are down. When kiting, just press Q and walk the other way. When chasing, auto attack a lot to root the enemy with your passive. Your W provides a short i-frames, which is helpful in match ups against things like light crossbow and curse, practice the timing to make sure you can dodge these abilities.

Strengths and weaknesses:

A lot of CC, very strong against melees.

Low damage, can have a hard time against high damage ranged builds.

Variations:

Leering cane is sometimes used to increase cc duration on your passive and W, which sets up for more easy Es.

Undead cape is used sometimes to be extra safe against rats.

For a budget version of the build, use 1h frost and mage cowl, if you want it even cheaper you can run a normal cape.
