Curse Rat - budget build

Curse Staff

HUNTER HOOD, CLERIC ROBE, SOLDIER BOOTS, MUISAK, CAERLEON CAPE

C Tier

Awakening trats:

As a budget build, it’s not likely that you’d want to play an awakening weapon. But if for some reason you want to try this, HP, DEF, Ability Damage are the best common traits.

Default Abilities and Passives:
Wildfire

Q1, W1, passive 3

Hunter Hood
Retaliate, passive 1

Cleric Robe:
Everlasting Spirit, passive 1
Soldier boots:
Wanderlust, passive 2

Explanation:

1h Curse is mostly played as a rat build. While it can win against B or C tier builds, most builds have enough defensives to at least never die to a 1h Curse. In direct 1v1s, try to survive by spacing out your defensives. Generally, if manage to land 2 fully stacked Es, you will kill anything even IP, and even things that are 100-200 IP higher. If you can, try to cast E while Cleric Robe bubble is active for the damage buff. Hit armor piercer before E pops to get the extra damage. However, try to avoid taking fair 1v1s as most proper mist builds will not make it easy for you to land Es. 1h Curse is most effective as a rat build, look for people who have exhausted their defensives on fighting someone else so you can land E’s on them for free.

Strengths and weaknesses:

High Damage, easy to rat with.

Low mobility, cannot keep up with hit-and-run or kite meta.

Variations:

Cleric Cowl is a good option, since it can be used while stunned. It’s very effective against the Doublebladed staff + Stalker Jacket meta.

Shield is a budget offhand instead of the Muisac, if you want to make the build even cheaper. But you do lose some damage if you run a shield.

If you want to commit to only ratting, a Fiend Cowl can be a good option.

Main Food:

Beef Stew
