Welcome to Albion Meta
This is a website to help Albion Online players get a good understanding of popular builds. Currently it is focused on Mist content. Use the tabs above to navigate.
Definition of Meta:
The word “meta” comes from the metagame theory developed by Nigel Howard. In short, it refers to the way players play the game as the game changes. A meta build is therefore defined as a very popular build, and not necessarily the most powerful one. Of course, powerful builds are often popular, but sometimes a powerful build can be off-meta due to other reasons, such as the cost of a build or the amount of skill it takes to play it. For example, light crossbows are very powerful, a well known light crossbow player can hit rank 1 weekly kill fame repeatedly with this build, but most other crossbow players that copies his build simply feeds on it, so his build cannot really be called meta by our definition.
Mist meta Tier guide:
Our meta builds section ranks builds by tiers.
S tier builds are ones that offer some form of unique advantage that no other builds can compete with.
A tier are builds that are strong in 1v1, can chase down a kill, can dismount, and can escape a bad situation.
B tier are builds that are good in at least one of the above criteria but are lacking in others.
C tier are builds that popular due to their high cost-to-value ratio, rat builds, or builds that are one shot gimmicks. Builds in this tier can be fun to play but are not well-rounded enough to be put in a higher tier.
